About Paper Stone Printing

Letterpress printing is an art dating back to the 15th century and the printing of the Gutenberg Bible. Today Paper Stone Printing is part of the revival of this classic art form which produces custom stationary, invitations, business cards, and other printed materials with a classic old world look and feel.

Unlike more modern printing methods, which lightly touch the surface of the paper, letterpress printing leaves a lasting impression on the paper and those who see the results.

At Paper Stone Printing we use a vintage 1903 Chandler & Price Letterpress that has been lovingly restored to its original splendor, a 1947 Vandercook proof press along with hand-carved plates and hand-set type on all of our work.

We keep our Print shop green – using paper made from cotton remnants, our press is run by human power, we have a zero waste policy (reusing and recycling) and use biodegradable packaging.
